We just premiered Mal Williamson’s “All Kinds of Crazy” to a select, invitation-only audience in the UK. This is a film that started off as a documentary about my own musical journey, but has since expanded into a broader take on “the music business” and how its “all kinds of crazy”
I’m flattered to have so many seasoned musicians and creatives involved in this project, including Jim Glennie founder of James, Martin Simpson, Jon Gomm, as well as international journalist Sylvie Simmons, music industry heavyweight Frank Wilkes and many season musicians including Michael Ross, Laurent Zellerm Jessica Bowie, Claire Helm and instrument builder Shimo. There is also a special guest appearance from “Roboroz”
Mal Williamson did a brilliant job of creating and, crucially, editing a superb one hour and 22 minutes of provocative and fascinating observations about the reality of the “music business.” The movie also documents my often hilarious stumble into the world of music.

.
The film marks covers key projects up until this point in time including The Small Change Diaries, The Caravan of Dreams, Code-EI, The Heartache and my work with Towse. I’m really happy with the final cut and the preview audience really loved it! The title “All Kinds of Crazy” is super apt as much of my journey is quite surreal and at times hilarious. I have met many terrific individuals from across the globe, all very invested in music and in my view great music makes the world a better place.
Best Regards
Nick Cody
